GraduateGreen: Creating a Culture of Climate Sustainability at BHS

An Interactive Discussion with Innovation Fund Fellow Roger Grande, Faculty, and Students

Roger Grande, 2019-2020 Innovation Fellow for the BHS Innovation Fund

ON HOLD: Tuesday, March 31, 2020, 6:30-8:00 pm
MLK Room at Brookline High School

Join Brookline High School (BHS) Innovation Fund Fellow Roger Grande, along with colleagues and students, for a timely conversation on how BHS is catalyzing the community to embed climate change and sustainability initiatives across the school curriculum and culture so every student “graduates green.” The program will provide an overview of GraduateGreen, a new, school-wide initiative funded by a grant from the BHS Innovation Fund. BHS faculty and students will engage parents, caregivers, school officials and community members in an interactive discussion to identify key priorities and actionable steps the school can take to cultivate student learning and leadership for a sustainable future.

The evening kicks off with the BHS Innovation Fund Program Fair, an opportunity for guests to chat with teachers from a variety of Innovation Fund courses. Founded in 1998, the BHS Innovation Fund provides grants to teachers to develop new courses and curriculum that contribute to a culture of academic innovation.
